Hot Chip - One Life Stand

Hot Chip - One Life Stand

One Life Stand is the new Hot Chip album title that will be release on February 8th 2010.These magnificent boys from London are back in the studio after completing their world tour in 2009, creating Hot Chip’s fourth album.
For their up coming 2010 gigs Hot Chip are booked almost until middle of the year which will be kicking off in the UK and I wonder whether someone will eventually bring them here to Indonesia.
Enuff of the day dreaming, “One Life Stand” album will be featuring singles “Take It In” taken from Hot Chip’s 2008 Ep/Singles and also the “One Life Stand” track. It is sounds a bit darker here after hearing the intro of “One Life Stand” a slice of bass and synth creating some sort of explosion, but then it turns to a smooth dance beat with a glossy guitar rhythm and it means the “One Life Stand” track is definitely up into my 2010 playlist, But hey, why would I be so surprised cause it’s Hot chip anyway, they’re always got a way of sick mixing and creating the unpredictable tunes and I bet they’re all always ready for the floor!

Harlem :: Hippies

Over at the Matalbog, Gerard Cosloy updates us on the status of the upcoming (April 6, 2010) Harlem album, Hippies. Deets, plus a taste off the LP, below.

…the resulting 16-song pop meisterwerk, recorded with the assistance of Mike McHugh, reveals the triumvirate of Coomers, Curtis and Jose in fine fettle. The gents really “knocked it out of the park” as ice hockey fans are so fond of saying, but we remain hopeful, if not confident this album will have great appeal even for those of you who’ve never laced ‘em up. Harlem’s 2nd album, ‘Hippies’ hits North American record shops, farmers markets and digital storefronts on April 6 on the always popular LP, CD and MP3/FLAC configurations.

Echolight

Singles terbarunya di tahun 2009, “Glare of Glowing City” dan “M.A.D (Maturity After Depression)” menjadi sebuah bentuk image terbaru dari Echolight. And here they are, an echo with the light…
